River Sand blends soft cream tones with delicate silver-grey highlights, creating a beautifully balanced natural colour inspired by the quiet tones of Australian riverbanks. Its finely textured loop pile showcases the warmth and character of pure wool, while the premium woven construction and substantial hessian backing provide exceptional durability, making it an elegant and enduring addition beside the hearth.

Wool is naturally flame retardant and has long been valued as one of the most suitable fibres for hearthside furnishings. Its dense, resilient structure provides durability, insulation, and comfort underfoot while offering reassuring natural performance near the fireside. As with all hearth furnishings, appropriate clearances from heat sources should always be observed.

Designed specifically for use in front of fireplaces and wood stoves, River Sand frames the hearth beautifully, bringing together warmth, texture, and timeless practicality.

Finished with colour-matched rustic hand-machined overlocking and a durable woven hessian backing.

Each rug is finished with a rustic hand-machined overlocked edge. The subtle unevenness of the overlocking forms part of the rug's artisan character, enhancing its natural, handcrafted appearance.
