Natural SOFT ASH GREY - Pure Wool FIREPLACE HEARTH RUG

Soft Ash Grey is a beautifully textured pure wool hearth rug featuring a larger rustic Berber loop file construction in soft ash-grey tones with subtle blue-grey highlights. Its natural variation of fibres creates depth and character, giving the rug a relaxed, lived-in appearance that complements both traditional and contemporary interiors.

The natural wool blend features subtle ash-grey and blue-grey fibres that can appear slightly different depending on lighting conditions. Under warm indoor lighting the rug presents as a soft grey, while natural daylight may reveal cooler blue-grey highlights within the weave.

Crafted from pure wool and finished with a coordinated silver-grey hand machined overlocking, Soft Ash Grey offers a balanced combination of durability, comfort and understated style. The dense wool pile provides natural warmth underfoot, while the quality hessian backing ensures strength and stability for everyday use around the fireplace.

Each rug is finished with a rustic hand-machined overlocked edge. The subtle unevenness of the overlocking forms part of the rug's artisan character, enhancing its natural, handcrafted appearance.

Wool’s naturally flame-retardant properties make it an excellent choice for hearth settings. Unlike many synthetic fibres, wool is inherently resistant to ignition and self-extinguishing when the source of flame is removed. While no hearth rug should be considered fireproof, wool provides an additional level of reassurance when used responsibly around wood heaters and fireplaces.
