Update: Australia Post and our Courier services Couriers Please, Fastway & Sendle have advised that delays are anticipated, due to restrictions, less domestic flights, safety measures for customers and staff. Tracking updates may not be available for some items however, despite delays and available details, are on track for delivery. These companies are inundated with deliveries, operating with less staff and are working hard to improve their systems to adapt to the out of the ordinary circumstances to process deliveries.
With Aust Post and Courier businesses adapting to the challenges the current pandemic presents, their normal practice of delivery has been impacted. They are experiencing significant delivery delays due to limited flights, hygiene and social distancing requirements in their network (such as one person unloading a loose load trailer which halves productivity) and an increase in parcel volumes as more people shop online.
As you may know we always try our best to send parcels on the day of the order or the next day so we are very upset if any have now been delayed in transit, but understand that all involved are doing their best and cannot be avoided. Some carriers are working weekends now to provide the best service.
Aust Post and our Couriers are using the following practices due to distancing measures, automatic ATL (authority to leave) with photo delivery evidence and address entered in place of signature. Please ensure delivery services have unencumbered access to your front door on day of delivery with animals restrained.
